As long as I can remember, I've had a passion for the written word. My diverse background encompasses publishing, magazine editing, and both B2B and B2C marketing communications. I earned my UX writing certification with the UX Content Collective in 2020.
Want a brief history of my career? Read on!
- American Airlines: My journey with American took flight on the Global Content team -- first as a digital copywriter, now as a senior copywriter and team lead. I oversee content on all marketing channels, mentor a team of editors and writers, and balance legal and business requirements while upholding our brand tone of voice. Fun fact: I helped develop our first chatbot!
- Neiman Marcus: I wrote for our sale emails and homepage, print communications, and the InCircle loyalty program. I also managed Cyber Monday sales, one of our biggest revenue drivers.
- Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting: I served as a copywriter for the Marketing Communications team, where I shaped complicated tax concepts into approachable, easy-to-understand marketing materials. I did everything from social posts to marketing emails and video scripts.
- Ghostwriter: I collaborated with 8-10 authors at a time to bring their visions to fruition--an undertaking requiring ample research, interviews, time-management skills, and creative ability.
- Boyd Street / Main Street magazine: I was a copy editor and writer for a local double-sided magazine for my college town. This gig demonstrated my keen eye for grammar (and my zeal for local restaurants).
No matter the task, I can rise to the challenge, whether it's writing or ensuring a content asset is grammatically pristine.
